Guitar No. 19

Date Completed:
Saturday, August 16, 2014

Commissioned by MTSU guitar performance major Jacob Miears, this guitar continues to evidence a striking richness and balance in the trebles and an unusual definition in the mid range that is most similar to Tom Torrisi’s guitar no. 15. This has been a consistent result of matching my 650’s brace angles with those of the 640mm. It is another iteration of guitar no. 3 and an example of my continued work to bring clarity to the mid range while keeping cavernous depth in the basses. This guitar certainly comes very close to that ideal, while anyone playing it will undoubtedly notice how rich and even the trebles project throughout. It will be interesting to see how this guitar develops in the future.
