Commissioned by guitarist and teacher Stanley Yates, this guitar groups the bass strings alone into courses allowing the guitarists to recreate the campanella and strum style effects common in Baroque guitar repertoire. It was the first guitar that I built on which I really could play well enough to judge the results. It was fabulous to listen for the first time as Maestro Yates explored the potential of this guitar which is in a class all by itself - bringing the acoustic potential of my modern design to the music of the Baroque guitar.
