Alan Mearns was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He began his musical studies with the classical violin at age five, switching to the guitar at age ten. Moving to the United States in his late teens, he studied classical guitar performance with Douglas James at Appalachian State University (where he held the prestigious Fletcher Scholarship) and with Stanley Yates at Austin Peay State University.

Venezuelan composer, arranger and not-so-classical guitarist Andres Guerra is a Boston-based concert artist who aims break down the stigmas of classical music and bring his multi-faceted musical and artistic influences forth to shed a new light on the classical guitar. He has played in concert and collaborated with a wide variety of artists, some of the caliber of Grammy-winning Aida Cuevas, Berta Rojas, Paquito d’ Rivera and the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.

Chris Roseland is a guitar teacher on the faculty of Bellarmine University where he received a Bachelor of the Arts in 2011. He has been invited by organizations such as the Louisville Guitar Society, University of Kentucky Guitar Society and Bellarmine University Music Department as a featured soloist. During the 2013 Guitar Foundation of America Festival, Chris, along with the University of Louisville Guitar Ensemble, premiered Gerald Garcia “Blue Nose Ballads” before an evening concert of Aniello Desiderio. In 2014, Chris graduated from the University of Louisville with a Masters in Classical Guitar. Chris has been lucky enough to experience master classes with a great deal of brilliant artists such as Marcin Dylla, Dale Kavanagh, Denis Azabagic, and Oscar Ghiglia.
Dr. Hennings is an Associate Professor of Music at the University of Kentucky's College of Fine Arts. Dieter Hennings is a very active performer and recording artist, attracting a vast array of talented guitarists to the UK guitar program. A native of Mexico, Dieter has won first prize in several prestigious competitions including the 2008 Aaron Brock International Guitar Competition (Toronto), 2005 Eastman Guitar Concerto Competition, the 2002 Villa de Petrer, Alicante (Spain) International Young Artists Competition, the 2001 Portland International Guitar Competition, among others.

Ethan Lorentz is a Colorado-based guitarist, music educator and scholar who has received acclaim as a soloist and chamber musician. Ethan has a passion for expanding the guitar’s possibilities through performing new works and creating exciting new arrangements. Most recently he has created an original set of Schubert lieder arrangement, which he performed in a lecture recital for the Guitar Foundation of America’s annual convention.
Ethan obtained his DMA from the University of Colorado Boulder, where he studied with Nicolò Spera, Paul Galbraith, Matteo Mela, and Lorenzo Micheli. In addition to guitar, Ethan has studied music theory extensively, and received a graduate certificate in music theory from CU Boulder.

Jonathan Marshall is a Michigan-born Classical Guitarist/Composer. He is the Director of Guitar Studies-Assistant Professor at the Grand Rapids Community College Music Department. Jonathan also directs the GRCC International Guitar Series, and the Grand Rapids Community Guitar Ensemble/Society. He currently performs solo and with Guitarist Brian Morris in the Grand Rapids Guitar Duo. Jonathan has composed/arranged numerous solo/chamber guitar works and is published through Guitar Chamber Music Press. Jonathan also owns and operates Jonathan Marshall Guitars (Concert Classical Guitar Dealer).
He has earned degrees from Grand Rapids Community College where he studied guitar with Brian Morris, and Grand Valley State University where he studied guitar with Carlos De La Barrera. He completed his Master's degree at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati under Professor Clare Callahan, and has also participated in Master Classes with Manuel Barrueco, Denis Azabagic, Ana Vidovic, and Oscar Ghiglia. He took second place in the Columbus, Ohio Collegiate Guitar Competition. In 2021 he created a video concert recording titled, “Familiar Places” and recorded a CD in 2006 titled, "Modern Classical Guitar."

Rafael Scarfullery is an internationally recognized classical guitarist, composer, and conductor. He has won several awards for his cultural projects, compositions, and performances. His compositions are performed by internationally acclaimed artists and ensembles. As a guitarist, he has been invited to perform twice at the Ibero-Americano Guitar Festival in Washington DC, twice at the Eastern Shore Guitar Festival and Workshop in Maryland, at the Bethelem Guitar Festival at the Moravian College, and guitar festivals and competitions in the Dominican Republic, among others. He has performed two solo recitals at Carnegie Hall in NY and at El Teatro Nacional, El Teatro del Cibao, the National Conservatory of Music, the Universidad Autónoma and the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic.
British-born guitarist Stanley Yates enjoys an international career as concert performer and recording artist, teacher, arranger, and scholar. He has been described as "one of an elite breed of guitarists" (Classical Guitar Magazine), praised for the "transcendent quality of his interpretations"(Fort Worth Star Telegram), recognized for his "musical instinct and brilliant technique" (Suonare, Italy). A past prize-winner in such prestigious performance competitions as the Myra Hess (London) and the Guitar Foundation of America International Competition, he has performed as recitalist and concerto soloist at major venues throughout the United States and Europe, as well as in Asia, South America, and Australia.
Tom Torrisi is a classical guitarist in Rochester, NY and is active as both a soloist and chamber musician. Tom has been heard performing throughout the United States and in the UK and has been featured on WXXI 91.5 Backstage Pass with Julia Figueras. His past performances have received top honors in numerous competitions including the APSU Concerto Competition (2013), the Memphis University International Guitar Competition (2014) and the Southern Guitar Festival Competition in Columbia, SC (2014).
